Want to know one of our biggest assets? It’s Jalane! Have you ever heard the expression, “you out punted your coverage”? Well, we kinda felt like that when we landed our head of partnership development and community outreach. Jalane has become an invaluable member of the Farmily.
As a mother of three very active boys she has learned to hunt, fish, throw a lacrosse ball, and just about every other activity boys like to do. Jalane is very involved in her children’s education and sits on several school boards. She is involved in various activities in the community as well including organizing Moonlight Movies, a Lake Country summer favorite.
IT’S A FAMILY AFFAIR
Just like Maureen and I, Jalane believes in teaching their children practical life skills and the value of hard work. Needless to say, everyone in the Sauer family has had the opportunity to work with Lake Country Growers. From her husband, Mike, to her sweet parents. Jalane’s son, Jaden, was one of our first employees. We affectionately call him our #1 employee. It’s a real family affair.
IN HER FREE TIME
In her free time…hahaha…there is no such thing as free time! Jalane is a master gardener and has put her skills to great use raising hundreds of varieties of flowers and vegetables in her garden. Her knowledge of growing has really been helpful to us. But what might be her superpower is organization. From organizing several farmers markets to keeping our retail partners’ storefronts looking amazing, to running our booth at the 2020 Hemp Expo, to helping us with all of our farm parties. She keeps all of the plates spinning and does it with grace.
Her official title is Partnership Development but we all know she is way more than a title. She has embraced the FARMILY 100%. She shares her gifts and talents freely. We bought the game Catan for our family years ago but were intimidated by the directions. Jalane and her family taught us how to play. She taught Addison how to make her famous cinnamon rolls. She even helped John plant a maple tree in our front yard. We couldn’t ask for a better head of partnership development and community outreach or a better addition to the farmily!
